This Privacy Policy explains what information Ingrevia handles, where it is stored, and how information is processed when you use the application.
Ingrevia is designed with a privacy-focused approach. No account is required, inspection history is stored locally on your device, and Ingrevia does not operate its own user database.
Ingrevia does not require you to provide personal information to use the application.
When you use Ingrevia, the application may handle:
- Food images selected or captured for inspection
- AI-generated inspection results
- Inspection history
- Inspection timestamps and related local application data
- Information necessary for the application's functionality
Ingrevia does not require an account. You do not need to provide:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password
- Home address
- Social media accounts
- Contacts
- Profile information
The primary information processed by Ingrevia is the food image you choose to inspect.
You can provide an image by:
- Taking a photograph using the camera, or
- Selecting an existing image from your device.
When you request an inspection, Ingrevia uploads the selected food image to Google Gemini AI for visual analysis.
The image is processed by Gemini to generate the inspection result shown in Ingrevia.

Important Security Notice
Because images are transmitted to Google's Gemini service for analysis, you should avoid submitting images containing:
- Personal documents
- Sensitive information
- Private information
- Faces or other identifiable information that is not necessary for the food inspection
- Confidential material
Ingrevia's intended use is the inspection of food images.
Ingrevia uses the Google Gemini API to analyze food images.
When you request an inspection, the relevant image and instructions required for the analysis are sent to Gemini.
Gemini processes the image and returns an AI-generated response that Ingrevia uses to produce the food inspection result.
Google provides both free/unpaid and paid Gemini API services, and the applicable data-use terms differ between these tiers. Google's current documentation states that content submitted through the free tier may be used to improve Google products, while content under the paid tier is not used for product improvement [1].
Therefore, Ingrevia cannot guarantee that an image sent through Google's free/unpaid Gemini API tier will not be used by Google for service improvement.
Users should consider this before submitting any image containing information beyond the food being inspected.
For the most current information about Gemini API data handling, please review Google's official documentation:

Ingrevia stores inspection results and inspection history locally on your device.
This local information may include:
- Previous inspection results
- Food inspection information
- Inspection timestamps
- Other information necessary to display your local inspection history
Ingrevia does not upload your inspection history to an Ingrevia-owned cloud database.
Your local inspection data remains on your device unless you:
- Delete it within the application, where supported;
- Clear Ingrevia's application data;
- Uninstall Ingrevia; or
- Otherwise remove the application's local storage.

The important distinction is: your inspection history is stored locally, but the food image must be transmitted to Gemini when you request an AI inspection.
Ingrevia may request access to your device's camera when you choose to take a food photograph.
It may also request access to photos or media when you choose an image from your gallery.
These permissions are used to provide the food inspection functionality.
You can manage or revoke these permissions through your device's Android settings.
An internet connection is required when Ingrevia sends a food image to Google Gemini for AI analysis.
If there is no internet connection, the AI inspection feature may not work.
Other locally stored inspection history can remain available on your device without requiring Ingrevia to maintain a cloud account for you.
Ingrevia does not require user registration.
There is no Ingrevia account system.
Users do not need to create an account, sign in, provide an email address, or provide a phone number to use the application's core features.
Ingrevia does not sell your personal information.
Ingrevia does not use your food images for advertising.
Ingrevia does not intentionally share your information with advertisers.
The main external service involved in processing information is:
- Google Gemini API — used to analyze food images and generate AI inspection results.
Information sent to Gemini is subject to Google's applicable terms and data-handling policies.
Ingrevia:
Ingrevia stores inspection history and results locally on your device.
Ingrevia does not maintain its own cloud-based inspection-history database.
Google Gemini:
Once an image is transmitted to Gemini, Google's applicable data handling and retention policies apply.
The handling can differ depending on whether the request is processed through the free/unpaid or paid Gemini API service.
For example, Google currently documents different data-use rules for free and paid Gemini API services [1].
Ingrevia does not control Google's independent data-retention policies.
Ingrevia currently does not use:
- Advertising SDKs
- Analytics services
- Crash-reporting services
- User-tracking services
- Social-media tracking SDKs
- User profiling systems
Ingrevia is designed to provide its functionality without requiring these services.
Ingrevia is provided free of charge to users.
The application does not require a subscription or payment to create an account or access its core food-inspection functionality.
The availability and limits of the underlying Google Gemini API may depend on Google's current service limits and policies.
Ingrevia provides visual AI assessment only.
It is not a laboratory testing system, medical device, food-safety certification service, or guarantee that food is safe to consume.
AI-based image analysis cannot reliably detect every:
- Bacterium
- Pathogen
- Toxin
- Chemical contaminant
- Internal contaminant
- Invisible food-safety hazard

Consumer Safety Precaution
A food item may appear visually acceptable while still containing hazards that cannot be detected through an image.
Never rely solely on an Ingrevia result to determine whether food is safe to eat.
If food appears spoiled, contaminated, improperly stored, or otherwise unsafe, follow appropriate food-safety guidance and use your own judgment.
When in doubt, do not consume it.
Ingrevia does not require users to create accounts or submit personal information.
However, because food images are transmitted to Google Gemini for AI analysis, parents or guardians should supervise children's use of the application and ensure that unnecessary personal or sensitive information is not included in submitted images.
Ingrevia is designed to minimize unnecessary data collection and keep inspection history locally on the user's device.
However, no electronic storage system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should protect their Android device using appropriate security measures such as a screen lock and current operating-system security updates.
You can control your use of Ingrevia's data-related features.
You may:
- Choose whether to grant camera permission.
- Choose whether to grant gallery/media permission.
- Choose which food images you submit for inspection.
- Delete locally stored inspection history where supported.
- Clear Ingrevia's application data through Android settings.
- Uninstall Ingrevia.
You can also stop using the AI inspection functionality at any time.
Ingrevia currently uses the following third-party service:
Google Gemini API
Purpose: AI-powered food image analysis.
Google Gemini receives the image submitted for inspection and generates the AI response used by Ingrevia.
Google's data practices are governed by Google's applicable terms and policies and may vary between free/unpaid and paid Gemini API services [1].
